Genetic Testing

Everything we do is with your needs in mind.

We work with RxGenomix, a company that was created to ensure individuals are being prescribed the right medications based on their individual genetics. They work with physicians and pharmacists to help them understand how they can look at an individual’s DNA and determine what treatment will work best.

With RxGenomix, we can find the right medication for you from the start, and avoid wasting months of trial and error. This reduces the amount of time you wait for a medication to truly begin benefiting you. Working with RxGenomix helps reduce your chance of incorrect/additional medication use and unnecessary side effects.

Using a medication that is genetically appropriate ensures you are getting the help you need without experiencing adverse drug reactions. According to RxGenomix, “adverse drug reactions are the leading cause of hospitalization and the fourth leading cause of death in the United States.”

RxGenomix has the ability to improve medication results more affordably and quickly.

RxGenomix uses a pharmacogenetic test to analyze your genetics and determine the best medication for your needs.

The process:

  1. Health provider gives consent for a pharmacogenetic test
  2. Cheek swab is taken at the pharmacy
  3. Test is sent to be analyzed
  4. A 45-page results report is received within a week
  5. Results are analyzed by a pharmacist and your doctor
  6. A medication is prescribed
The test can currently cover 350 different medications, but is always updating as the process becomes more advanced.
